Two construction cranes in Belgrade, Serbia and one in Zagreb, Croatia were caught on video while collapsing due to strong winds on Wednesday July the 19th, as a powerful summer storm swept through the Balkan region.

Furthermore, AP News reports that the storm was the second observed in two days in the Balkans, after a period of very hot and dry weather. It is worth mentioning that the storms particularly affected Croatia, Serbia, and Slovenia, while other parts of the Balkan region are experiencing heatwaves and wildfires.
The incidents caused 5 people to lose their lives in the events, as well as many others to be injured, mainly due to falling trees. In addition, the very strong winds tore roofs from houses and caused two construction cranes to collapse, causing at least one injury.
