Footage has emerged, showing a fire breaking out at the Bloor-Yonge subway station in Toronto, Canada, on Tuesday, April 25.
Furthermore, the incident occurred around 10 a.m. and fire crews dashed to the scene. According to Toronto Fire Services, the fire started in an electrical control box.
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) stated that service was halted between St. Clair and College due to the fire, while 60 shuttle buses were utilized to offset the disruption.
Around 3.18 p.m. crews had isolated the faulty cable and extinguished the fire as well as clearing the smoke produced by it.
Crews have got service back up and running on Line 1 Bloor/Yonge and on Line 2. 35 shuttle buses will continue to operate to supplement service. Reverse GO Protocol (ride GO for TTC fare) is no longer in effect.

TTC tweeted around 4.30 p.m. how service was back up and running at the station, while 35 shuttle buses were scheduled to continue supplementing service.
Thankfully, nobody got injured in the event.
