Calculate the volume included between a horizontal plane, a ramp (inclination 1:m, side slopes 1:n) and a vertical wall using Simpson’s rule.
Known values:
Ramp width α = 3.0 m
Ramp height h = 2.5 m
Ramp slope 1:m = 1:10
Ramp side slopes 1:n = 1:1.5
Solution: Volume V.
Where l is ramps length, E1 is cross section's area at the beginning of the ramp, E2 is cross section's area at the end of the ramp and Em is cross section's area at the middle point of the ramp.
