In Maharashtra's dams the water levels have risen to 56% from 54% due to the monsoon. But in 2014, the water levels were at 78%. In Western Maharashtra's dams, the water levels are currently at 59%, whereas last year water levels were 92%.
This year, Marathwada must deal with drought, due to the fact that the water level is 13% considering that last year the water level was 44%.
What is more, the storage in Nagpur’s dams was 78% in 2014 but water level dropped to 77%.
